3. Functions of Control Panel

¨ç Model : Function selection switch of modeling
               lamp maximum brightness, Modeling
lamp off, strobe output and modeling
               brightness and slave

¨è Power on/off switch : Electric power on/off
               switch

¨é Test : Flashes when pressed.

¨ê Controls the watt second output and the
    modeling lamp brightness.(1/8~Full)

¨ë Synchro socket "X" : Synchro jack connection
                port(¥Õ6.5)

¨ì AC input socket : AC220V/110V

¨í Huse holder and huse(250V, 10A) : Spare
               huse(250V/10A)

¨î Synchro sensor button : Turns the photo slave
                on/off.

¨ï O.T : The red lamp turns on and starts to beep
             when Printed Circuit Boards overheat.
And a halogen lamp lights off with
             charging and operating stopped. Only

cooling fan runs to cool off inside flash. O.H. lamp turns off when it cooled off and then
             restart to operate.

¨ð Ready : A green lamp lights up when charged

4. Operation

1. All powers are off, and lighting volume is minimised when a flash was released from the factory.

2. First check that the power switch is "OFF" and then connect the power cord.

3. Connects synchro cord to the synchro socket.

4. Turns on the power switch

5. Modeling mode

Full : Selects the maximum of modeling lamp

    Track : Can control volume.

6. Adjust the brightness by volume.

(When overcharged, the display blinks and automatically discharged in two seconds. There is
no need to press the test button)

7. When overheated, O.H. lamp turns on. (Get rid of the causes and restart to use the flash)

8. Check the shutter voltage ofa camera when using an electronic camera.

5. Characteristics of Genesis

1. Housing made of Aluminium and fiber glass protects inside flash from impacts.

2. One touch locking system makes it easier to replace a reflector, and various reflectors
    are available.

3. Flashing parts are divided into two sections, ceramic base and porex dome.

4. There is no wire inside flash, PCBs are subject to

5. Krypton lamp, screw type, can last about 2,000hours, can detect where this lights in advance.

6. Anti-frost and anti-static circuitry protects internal circuits.
Cooling fan and anti-overheat circuit makes longtime photographing possible.

6. Maintenance and keeping mehod

1. How to exchange modeling lamp (BASE : E-11)

   - Cool off and then take out the modeling lamp.

   - Be careful not to leave fingerprints or stains on the lamp, clean up the surface of lamp after
     replacement.

2. How to replace a fuse

   - First take out the electricity cord.

   - Disassemble fuse holder with (-)screwdriver and take out the fuse.

   - Check the fuse is short and replace a spare fuse in the fuse holder.

3. How to keep flashes

    - Protect pirex dome and xenon tube from dust or stain while being kept.

    - If there are  dust or stain on the pirex dome or xenon tube which might be shortened or lead
lower color temperature, clean them up with soft fabric.

¡Ø Remarks : it might not recharge fully when a rated voltate is higher than input voltage. In this
                    case, please check input voltage.

This product can be modified for better quality without prior notice.
