1. Before Using

This flash is a very precise photographic equipment, there fore don't forget to read this operation manual very carefully before using.

1. Please read Operation Manual before using it.

2. Input voltage should be checked before use.

3. Don't move or shock when power on. Coil of modeling lamp might be cut off.

In case that it moves with lamp on.

4. Connect to the properly functioning and grounded 3-pin receptacles only.

5. Attach or disattach reflector, snoot, or other accessories after halogen lamp turned off and
cooled off.

6. Don't keep halogen lamp lighting for a long time when it is over 500W/s because

using snoot can overheat highly.(It normally heats up to 200℃ when a snoot is being used)

7. Use softbox made of noninflammable materials.

8. Be careful of electric shock when using this equipment in humid places.

9. Keep this equipment where children can not reach.

3. Functions of Control Panel

① Power Display : Output(w/s) display

② Alarm : Alarm On/Off switch
(Check the charging status)

- Red LED on : Beeps while being charged, stops
beeping when over.

   - Red LED off : A modeling lamp is off while being
                         charged, modeling lamp lights up
                         when charging is over.

(But a modeling lamp on the manual
mode is exceptional)

③ Slave : Synchro sensor on/off switch

- Red lamp on : Operated by Synchro sensor or
synchro cord

- Red lamp off : Operated by synchro cord only.

④ Model : Function selection switch of modeling
lamp

- Pressing once (Red LED on) : Halogen lamp
lights up at the maximum.

- Pressing again (Green LED on) : The brightness of halogen lamp changes according to the
output of Flash

- Pressing again (Lamp off) : Manually operated by halogen lamp slide volume at the rear
cover.

⑤ Test : Lighting test, lights up when pressed. (Red lamp lights up when charging is over, lights
off when being charged)

⑥ O. H. : The red lamp turns on and starting to beep when Prited Circuit Boards overheat. And
a halogen lamp lights off, with charging and operating stopped. Only cooling fan runs
to cool off inside flash. O.H. lamp turns off when it cooled off and then restart to operate.

⑦ Power up : Output lighting increasing button
(Turns maximum into minimum by pressing once)

⑧ Power down : Output lighting decreasing button
(Turns minimum into maximumby pressing once)

4. Operation

1. Alarm, Slave, and Modeling button are off, lighting is minimized when they are released from our
factory.

2. First check whether modeling light volume is "0" and power switch is off and then connect to the
proper electricity.

3. Connect synchro cord in the socket.

4. Turn on the switch("5" Watts adjusted)

5. All operation switch is one-touch system.

6. Modeling switch successively operates,

- LED red : Halogen lamp at the maximum brightness

- LED green : The brightness of halogen lamp changes according to the flash output.

- LED off : Halgen lamp turns off (Modeling light volume can be manually adjusted)

7. Adjust the brightness by touching power up/down switch

(When overcharged, the display blinks and automatically discharged in two seconds, No need
to press test button)

8. When overheated, O.H. lamp turns on(Get rid of the causes and restart to use the flash)

5. Maintenance and keeping mehod

1. How to exchange modeling lamp (2-pin, base-GX 6.35)

- Cool off and then take out modeling lamp by shaking it up or down.

- Insert lamp in the socket at a right angle by shaking up or down.

(Don't give too much power and don't insert or extract the lamp by shaking right or left)

- Be careful not to leave fingerprints or stains on the lamp. Clean up with soft fabric soaked with
alcohol when they are on the lamp.

2. How to replace a fuse

- First take out the electricity cord.

- Disassemble fuse holder with screwdriver and take out the fuse.

- Check the fuse is short and replace it with a spare fuse in the fuse holder.

3. How to keep flashes

- Protect pirex dome and xenon tube from dust or stain while being kept.

- If there are dust or stain on the pirex dome or xenon tube which might be shortened or lead
lower color temperature, clean them up with soft fabric.

※ Remarks : it might not recharge fully when a rated voltate is higher than input voltage. In this
case, please check input voltage.

6. Trouble shooting

STATUS	ESTIMATED CAUSE	TROUBLE SHOOTING
Photo cell does not operate.	Cell is off.	Check whether slave red LED turns on.
	The light does not reach photo cell.	Change the position of flash so that light can reach the photo cell
	Too much light shines photo cell.	Isolate the flash from very strong light.
Synchro cord does not operate.	Dust or stain on the synchro cord jack	Remove dust or stain
Synchro cord does not operate.	Shortened synchro cord or bad connection	Replace it (Check whether it turns on or not by pressing test button)
Keeping beeping	Charging is impossible (Check whether red LED of test switch is off)	- Press power down button - Check whether the input voltate is lower
Keeping beeping	Overheating (Check whether O.H. lamp turns on or not)	- Check if the cooling fan normally operates - Check if the body overheats - Cool off and then use again - Check which canses this trouble.
No operation	No electricity(when power switch lamp doesn't light up)	- Check if the electricity cord is well inserted - Check if the contact of consent is OK. - Check the fuse
